Amidst ongoing scrutiny surrounding the business dealings of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, fresh allegations against the “big guy” are expected to surface during upcoming testimony from the younger Biden’s former business partner, Devon Archer.
Archer, who was once Hunter’s closest associate, is expected to provide evidence suggesting Joe Biden’s involvement in his son’s international business ventures. This would dispute the President’s repeated assertions of non-involvement in his son’s affairs. For instance, Biden has personally stated, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” and “I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period.”
Archer is due to appear before the House Oversight Committee as part of the investigation into the Biden family’s finances. The New York Post reports Archer’s deposition will include instances where Hunter dialed his father into business meetings, thus directly involving Joe Biden in discussions with foreign business associates.

Archer was sentenced to a year and a day in prison in 2022 for his role in defrauding a Native American tribe of $60 million in bonds. His legal troubles add to the weight of his pending testimony. Rep. James Comer (R-KY), chairman of the Oversight Committee, views Archer’s input as crucial to the committee’s investigation.
Despite three scheduled depositions being canceled, Archer is expected to cooperate and shed light on the alleged involvement of the Bidens in various foreign transactions.
Highlighting Archer’s intimate involvement with the Biden family and their associated corporate entities, Comer stressed the significance of Archer’s knowledge regarding the purpose of these companies. Amid threats towards Archer’s family following his announcement to testify, Comer expressed anticipation for details about Joe Biden’s meetings with Hunter’s foreign business partners.
The Oversight Committee’s investigation focuses on an alleged incident in 2015 involving a call between Joe Biden and Ukrainian Burisma executives during a meeting in Dubai. This interaction reportedly took place following a board meeting of Burisma, where Hunter was a director earning $83,000 monthly. These allegations are part of a larger scheme that reportedly involved the Bidens receiving $5 million each to ensure the firing of Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for money laundering, tax evasion, and corruption.

The Biden family’s alleged business dealings extend beyond Ukraine. Archer’s expected testimony includes information about meetings involving the Bidens and business partners from Russia and Kazakhstan. Also, evidence suggests that Joe Biden used the alias “big guy” to maintain discretion in business communications.
Despite the mounting evidence, Joe Biden continues to deny involvement in his son’s business affairs. In response to the allegations, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reiterated that Biden was never in business with his son.
As Archer’s testimony approaches, it’s becoming increasingly clear that it could have significant implications for the Biden family, potentially contradicting the President’s statements and casting a shadow over their financial dealings. The hearing is anticipated with bated breath, not just for its impact on the Biden family, but for the potential influence it could exert on American politics.
