Protest Song Against Washington Elites Goes Viral

Virginia folk singer Oliver Anthony’s new protest song, aimed at Washington elites, has gone viral.

Titled “Rich Men North of Richmond,” this ballad takes a sharp jab at the moneyed elites in Washington, DC, spotlighting the the ongoing challenges of working-class families amidst political turbulence and growing economic disparity. It has already been streamed millions of times across multiple platforms.

Via his Spotify biography, Anthony states, “I spend my free time writing songs and pursuing an off-grid life on 90 acres in the woods of Virginia. Lord willing, this is just the beginning.”

Social media played a pivotal role in amplifying Anthony’s message. Soon after its release, the song’s traction exploded, leading him to comment on Twitter/X about the overwhelming love he’s received.

Renowned country producer John Rich, known for his chart-topping anti-establishment songs, was so moved that he shared Anthony’s track, pushing “Rich Men North of Richmond” into trending territory. The Blaze’s Jason Howerton further elevated the buzz by announcing Rich’s collaboration with Anthony, while other conservative influencers pledged their support for distribution and promotions.
