I’m going to set the book right here. I don’t know if you guys noticed that I redecorated my studio. It’s not easy. That sign’s about an eighth of an inch thick. So I hope we have some appreciation for that. We do have other topics to talk about besides the book today, believe it or not. One of them is this Washington Post, a b c poll that shows President Trump leading Biden by 20 points among voters under the age of 35. I will confess to you when I first read that part of the headline, I was a little skeptical because usually young people tend to be very liberal. Usually young people don’t like Trump. So I want to read a little bit of this poll because some conservatives online were very excited about this poll. It shows that public opinion is tending towards Trump. It shows that people are rejecting Biden, and I would just caution caution conservatives before you get too excited about this. For two reasons, I want to read you this poll. 

First, it says this is from the Washington Post. It says The Washington Post a b c news poll finds President Biden struggling to gain approval from a skeptical public with dissatisfaction growing over his handling of the economy and immigration, a rising share saying the United States is doing too much to aid Ukraine in its war with Russia and broad concerns about his age as he seeks his second term. Biden and former president Donald Trump peer headed for a rematch of their 2020 contest, although more than three in five Democrats and Democratic leaning independents say they would prefer a nominee other than the President. But Biden’s advisors have argued that he is the strongest Democrat for 2024 and those who wish for someone else share no consensus on who that should be with 8% naming Vice President Harris, l o l 8% naming Bernie Sanders and 20% saying they prefer just someone else. 

The post a B, c poll shows Biden trailing Trump by 10 percentage points at this early stage of the election cycle. Although the sizable margin of Trump’s lead in this survey is significantly at odds with other public polls that show the general election contest a virtual dead heat. The difference between this is the Washington Post by the way, undermining their poll because they don’t like the outcome. The difference between this poll they write and others as well as the unusual makeup of Trump’s and Biden’s coalitions in this survey suggests it is probably an outlier. So this is like the specifics they go in his bid to become the Republican presidential nominee for a third time. Trump isn’t a strong position nationally despite facing multiple criminal charges. He’s favored by 54% of Republicans and Republican leaning independents. Little change from 51% in May Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is second at 15% down from 25% in May. 

No other Republican reaches double digits and then they go on to talk about Trump facing felony counts. Yes, we’re all aware of that. And Biden it says a similar question was asked about the recently launched impeachment inquiry aimed at Biden by house Republicans despite the absence of direct evidence of an impeachable offense by the president. According to the Washington Post on this question, 58% of Americans say Biden is being held accountable under the law like any other president while 32% saying say he is being unfairly victimized by political opponents. That’s pretty interesting to me because 58% of Americans, I mean that’s pretty good consensus. I can’t think of too many issues where that many Americans agree on one thing, but here’s why I would caution people to just reign in a little bit. I hate to write on your parade. I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, the wet blanket, but I’m taking this poll with a grain of salt because I do think the Washington Post is probably correct that this poll is a little bit of an outlier. 

I generally don’t trust any polls, so I kind of take them all with a grain of salt. So even if it wasn’t an outlier, it’s a year in advance. It’s more than a year in advance from this election. Who even knows what’s going to be happening in our country or the world or to either of these two candidates a year from now. So it’s way too early. It’s probably an outlier. Polls are generally inaccurate anyway, but the real kicker here is it doesn’t matter if Trump has won public opinion. It doesn’t matter if Trump is 10 or 20 points ahead of Biden in the eyes of the public, if Republicans do not get their act together and compete with Democrats. And yes, I’m talking about Democrats electioneering. If Republicans don’t compete during election season, which means early voting, if they don’t compete with Democrats regarding ballot harvesting, whether this is universal mail-in ballots, whether this is recruiting voters like Democrats going into nursing homes and recruiting those voters or going on to college campuses recruiting those voters. 

If Republicans do not ballot harvest, they do not take advantage of early voting. It doesn’t matter if public opinion tends towards President Trump, president Trump’s not going to win at the ballot box or the ballot drop box, whatever the case may be. The two things do not have to be congruent. We saw that in 2022, Trump did win republicanism, if you will, did win public opinion in 2022. And yet we didn’t see the red tsunami that we were supposed to see. Why because of electioneering, because Republicans are all on their high horse, their moral high ground saying, well, we don’t like election season. We just want to election day. Well, yeah, that would be ideal, but right now what we have is election season. So you have to compete using the same rules as the left or you’re going to get slaughtered in the outcome of these elections, which is exactly what’s happening, which is why I don’t care that much about this poll because it doesn’t matter about public opinion if the Republicans continue to neglect what the opposition is actually doing, and we have to remember who this opposition is too. 

So we have to remember too as we move into election season, although it’s still a little bit hard for me to think of it as election season because we’re more than a year in advance of the 2024 elections. Nonetheless, we are, and there’s another Republican debate this week, which we’ll be covering later in the week, but we have to remember who exactly our opposition is. It’s the phrase that I always say. We have to acknowledge the reality of the political enemy that we face, otherwise we won’t fight well against them and we’ll lose. And I don’t want to lose, and I know you don’t want to lose. We have to understand the reality of the left. And I think one of the things that conservatives that we do wrong is we ignore what the left says because we’re so used to them propagating fake news narratives, the mainstream media lying covering for Democrats who are corrupt that we forget that they actually do. 

The Democrats in the left actually do tell us exactly what they’re going to do and why if we listen close enough. And what I mean by this, there’s a college professor he teaches at the University of Maryland. His name is Michael Nance. He is a self-avowed socialist, and he was caught, not really caught, but Carlin Boko, we had her on the show a week and a half ago. She was the one who went undercover at that socialist conference and caught all of those socialists on undercover cameras. Carlin Senco published on her ck, you can go to it, I highly recommended it’s carlin dot sub stack.com. She published video of him or audio of him talking about how socialists need to overthrow the United States using extralegal means. And this phrase, extralegal is particularly important. So listen to exactly what he says because this is exactly what the left is trying to do. 

The little known German philosopher Johann bin, mean Earhart writing in the 1790s at the peak of the excitement and horror of the French Revolution developed a philosophical theory of revolution aimed at helping us think carefully about its promise and peril. Erhardt argues that the right to revolution exists but only under conditions of what we might call structural injustice. Erhardt proposes that we think of a society’s political structure as founded on a set of what he calls basic laws, which are formal or informal, that ground the state’s constitutional system, the US Bill of Rights might be one example. He argues that revolution is permitted when and only when society’s basic laws systematically violate the rights of humanity. In such cases, injustice has penetrated all the way to the foundation of the entire political structure. Reform becomes impossible since there are no legitimate legal norms to appeal to criticize the basic laws under such conditions. The risky project of revolution understood as the transformation of society’s basic laws through extra legal means becomes not just a right but a duty.

Something, isn’t it? First of all, he’s teaching your children at the University of Maryland. So anybody who has a child at the University of Maryland, pull them out of school. If you give your money to Sports University of Maryland, get it out of there. The University of Maryland is a public university. This is funded by taxpayer dollars, your money and my money. But the point of all of this is he very clearly tells us exactly what the strategy of the left is. This is what we’re watching play out in our country right now. What has the left been doing narrative wise to our country for the last 15 years? They’ve been demonizing it. They’ve been vilifying the United States of America. They’ve been trying to delegitimize our country through the 1619 project. It actually started before the 1619 project, Howard Zinn and his revisionist history trying to castigate Christopher Columbus as an evil slave owner, colonist, imperialist, demonizing white people, making it seem that all of our governmental institutions and our cultural institutions are so tainted by the original sin of racism that you can’t separate the country that we are today from the evil of slavery, which you certainly can. 

Our government was not built on slavery. Slavery existed in spite of the provisions in our governmental documents, even our founding documents that obviously invalidated the heinous practice of slavery. So what he’s saying is, first you have to establish that a country has structural injustice. That’s what the left is doing. You have to get to a point where the people in the country think that there’s no way to reform the country because the political structure, the foundation of the political structure is so corrupted and then extra legal. This phrase that he uses extra legal action, that means violence in the streets. That means the violent overthrow of a government. He said, it’s not just permitted. It is your duty if these things have been established. So what is the left done? They’ve tried to establish the idea in people’s minds that our country has structural injustices that cannot be redeemed, they cannot be reformed, and therefore it not only justifies violence, it necessitates violence. 

If you listen to what the left is saying, if we listen and believe them, they tell us what they’re going to do, they tell us what they’re going to do, and that leaves us, you and I with two options. It leaves us with a decision of what kind of person or what kind of politician even because we need politicians to fight for us. It’s not just that all of the political battles can be fought by us as individual private citizens. We have to have politicians as our representatives to do some things to hopefully use the government to properly order society. But we have a choice between two types of politicians and Speaker McCarthy provided a perfect contrast between himself as the kind of politician that Republicans shouldn’t want, and then Matt Gates as the kind of politician who is actually fighting for our best interests. 

So what I mean by this is Speaker McCarthy had originally said that he would not include funding for Ukraine in the Pentagon’s spending package and it he’s changed his mind at the last second. So Speaker McCarthy has decided to put our money in the Pentagon spending bill and give it to Ukraine. This is from the hill. It says, speaker Kevin McCarthy said Saturday that he will keep Ukraine aid in the Pentagon funding Bill a reversal from his announcement one day earlier that he would strip the money out due to opposition from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene McCarthy told reporters in the capitol that he decided to keep the $300 million of Ukraine aid in the bill after recognizing that another spending measure set to come up next week, one that funds the State Department and foreign operations also includes money for tiv. Make that make sense to me. 

So we’re giving them more money next week. So McCarthy needs to give them even more money this week. Well, it seems like logic would say opposite. If you’re giving them money next week, why would you need to give them additional money this week? How about we just don’t give them any money at all? This is the problem. So when Speaker McCarthy was elected as speaker, you remember the fight, you remember the Freedom Caucus, you remember Matt Gaetz and Lauren Bobert refusing to vote for him because they knew he’s a squish. They know he’s an establishment republican. They know he’s not interested in being based, that he kind of pretends to be friends with Trump just to get the approval or the support or probably the financial donations from Trump’s base. But Kevin McCarthy is not a fighter. Kevin McCarthy is a politician. This is a perfect example of it. 

And by the way, think about this amount of money, $300 million. It’s hard for me to even fathom what this amount of money would look like sometimes when I think of government spending. I think of the money in a gigantic mountain like cash, and I can’t even fathom how tall $300 million would be if it was all stacked up. But this money going to Ukraine of all places. It’s not just wasteful spending as McCarthy is giving your money and my money to Ukraine, the president of Ukraine has asked a literal satanist to be the ambassador to Ukraine. And I’m not being hyperbolic here when I say that this woman is a satanist, she’s a practicing satanist and is public about it. I’m going to show you some pictures from some of the things that she’s done. The pictures are kind of disturbing. I think you’ll want to see them, but just so you know, I’m about to show them. 

If you don’t want to see them, you can close your eyes. Let’s see this on the screen here for a second. It’s really disturbing stuff. This is Mariana Vic and what is she doing? She is practicing satanic rituals with dead bodies, with body parts, with human blood, with bones. This person is such an absolute creep. She’s a performance artist, is what she is. She actually has a current show going on in London and it’s really weird as satanism always does. She not only ties in the human body but tries to. Yeah, there’s the picture of it on the screen right now. In order to enter the exhibit for her art show in London, people have to squeeze through two naked bodies. So if this is not the creepiest, most disgusting thing that you’ve ever heard of, Zelensky wants this person to be the ambassador to Ukraine and McCarthy’s giving him money for it. 

Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Ukraine doesn’t need any more of our money. Zelensky is a fraud. Ukraine is never going to win against Russia. They should broker a peace deal so people can stop being murdered. But more importantly, our national interest in Ukraine does not lie In continuing this forever war, what’s happening right now is all this money is going to Ukraine, which is and mostly Biden’s printing it. So it’s increasing inflation by devaluing our dollar, by increasing inflation the way that it is and devaluing our dollar. Other countries around the world are turning away from the US dollar as the world reserve currency, which might sound really nerdy and boring, but the ultimate outcome of that will be America will lose our status as world superpower Because the reason that we have the status as world superpower isn’t just because we have the mightiest military in the world. 

There are a lot of strong militaries in the world, and yes, we should be proud of that, but that’s not what really gives the United States our bargaining power. It’s our economy. Our economy is really our strongest bargaining trip because every country in the world relies on the US economy. But if the US economy isn’t as strong as it is because the US dollar has been devalued and weakened by Biden printing money and giving it to Ukraine, then the United States is not going to have leverage on the global stage anymore. Countries aren’t going to think that they have to do what the United States says they have to do because they don’t care right now when the United States tells ’em to do something, they do it because they don’t want to face the economic penalties if they disagree or disobey the United States. But if our economic power is taken away, we won’t have that bargaining power with other countries. 

They’ll stop listening to us and we will no longer be the world’s superpower. Biden is deliberately doing this and Speaker McCarthy is enabling it. This is a Republican, someone who’s supposed to be a conservative, supposed to understand the world through the geopolitical philosophy that our country, the United States of America comes first. And yet McCarthy is just essentially a pawn of Joe Biden. And then we have Congressman Matt Gaetz from Florida who absolutely smokes Kevin McCarthy on exactly what Kevin McCarthy is doing with all of these spending bills. Gates calls him out every just word for word, every single thing McCarthy is doing. Take a look at this. It’s one of the most brilliant takedowns of a politician you will ever see. 

Congressman, thank you very much for being here this morning. 

Well, thank you. I am glad I get to respond to your monologue because if you’re saying that I’m standing the way on Fox, all the publican Fox wins Fox, I’d love you to enumerate them. Watching my friend and mentor Jim Jordan, it was quite painful because he started by saying we should only pick one fight the border. But then as the interview went on, he said, well, we should pick a second fight Jack Smith. And by the time the interview rounded out, he was saying that we shouldn’t be funding Ukraine without a plan. And yet the very continuing resolution that you and Jim Jordan seem to be for continues to have $300 million more for Ukraine. So I think we ought to fight on all fronts. I think the border is very important and the best way for us to advance the Republican border policies is to pass the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Bill do that along with Veterans Defense, ag State and foreign ops. We’ll have 73% of the discretionary budget funded. And if you know, the Department of Labor and Education have to shut down for a few days as we get their appropriations in line, that’s certainly not something that is optimal, but I think it’s better than continuing on the current path we are to America’s financial ruin 

Congressman, I understand. And that is why you were on this program this morning because I want to give you a fair shot and I want to get you heard. So tell me why you are threatening Speaker McCarthy and trying to shut down this government at a time that the Republicans have finally gotten some upper hands here in terms of wins able to investigate President Biden on what looks like bribery. 

Yeah, we don’t put our pencils down in the investigation of President Biden during a shutdown. So the premise is false. Second, if Kevin McCarthy was actually serious about pursuing the Bidens, he would’ve sent Hunter Biden a subpoena by now. That’s how you know this is sort of failure theater that you’re observing. During the first year of Democrat control of the Congress, they brought in Donald Trump Jr. Three times over, nothing over a nothing burger. And so we seem to be fundamentally unserious in our oversight. But what is serious is the fact that we are spending more than $7 trillion a year bringing in around $5 trillion a year. And I want to fund the government. I’m not pro shutdown, but the way to fund the government is not the same way we’ve been doing it since the mid nineties where it’s one up or down vote on the entire government all at once. We should have separate single subject spending bills. Kevin McCarthy promised that in he is in breach of that promise. So I’m not here to hold the government hostage. I’m here to hold Kevin McCarthy to his word. 

Are there Freedom Caucus members also out of compliance? They were also on the appropriations committee. Where is the responsibility for them? Are they also out of compliance? 

No, I’m not a member of the Freedom Caucus. I’ll let them speak for themselves. But take for example, the border. This issue you think is has great primacy and I would agree with you, the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill was passed out of the appropriations committee in June, and yet Kevin McCarthy hasn’t put it on the floor in more than a hundred days. That is not serious. You know why Kevin McCarthy didn’t move our border appropriations bill? Because the lobbyists and the special interests who own Kevin McCarthy want to put us in this position where we’re backed up against the wall facing shutdown politics. And what that does is it centralizes power to the people that they buy off with packed donations and lobbyist donations and then the membership doesn’t get to make real contributions to that process. I’m trying to democratize it. 

The bills are being worked on. You just heard Jim Jordan say that they are efforting four bills this week, appropriations bills this week to get through that would partially fund the government, the defense bill as well. You wanted the defense bill to move forward, did you not? 

Yes, that’s why I voted for it and I voted for the rule to proceed onto it. And by the way, don’t give Kevin McCarthy credit for the fact that we’re moving onto these four appropriations bills. That was the deal That house conservatives foisted upon Kevin McCarthy when he couldn’t just move the big spending bills without moving the bills that cut spending. We said, no, no, no. You have to move bills like the state and foreign ops bill because we don’t think we should be borrowing money from China to go fund gay pride parades in Prague or L G B T Q seminars in Indonesia. We don’t think that that’s a good use of our money and the only way to do this, Maria, is line by line. Kevin wants it in one big up or down vote. Keep the government open, shut it down. I’m saying single subject spending bills. It’s the only way to break the fever and liberate ourselves from the out of control spending. Well,

Well, okay, well, how about the fact that he has set up a weaponization committee to investigate the D O J, whether they’re involved in a coverup. That’s the fact that he has, hold on. Wait, fact, hold on. How about the fact that he has set up the China Select Committee to keep China to account, and of course he has launched this inquiry into impeachment potentially for President Biden. Is that not what you want? 

None of those things are deliverables. Those are steps in a process. Setting up a committee is an end unto itself only in Washington DC the American people demand results. Hold on, ill let you talk these committees. Okay, go ahead. Go ahead. These have done nothing to reduce inflation. They’ve done nothing to actually constrain the Biden government. We can set up committees and have hearings and yell at people, but at the end of the day, if we still send the check to fund a weaponized government, having a weaponization subcommittee is little relief to the American people. And if any of this was serious, we would be sending out subpoenas and compelling process the way the January 6th committee did. We should be operating like them. Instead. We’re playing patty cake with the Bidens. We’re allowing them to get away with it and we’re funding it. We’re sending the money if we were serious, use the power of the purse. The 

Speaker joined me a week ago and told me that he will in fact subpoena Hunter Biden. He said at the appropriate time, but let’s be 

Clear, it’s been eight months. We would not get this.

Months do the American people have to wait before that subpoena sent you? Tell me. We would 

Would not know anything that we know about the Biden family. 176 suspicious activity reports, 20 shell companies set up while he was vice president. The whistleblower testimony, we would not know any of this if not for those committees that he set up exposing all of this. We just heard from Merrim Garland last 

Last week. But you have to follow that to its natural conclusion. It’s not enough to expose facts that get people angry and animated. You then have to follow those facts to a conclusion and to accountability. You see, that’s what Republicans are bad at. We’re great at having the hearings and putting on the performances, but if you’re still going to underwrite Biden’s debt, which is what Kevin McCarthy did, joining with Democrats on the debt limit deal, and if you’re going to join up with Democrats to still fund his government, Merrick Garland will sit there and he’ll answer my tough questions and he’ll smirk at me or he’ll obfuscate and then guess what? He goes back to the Justice Department and the coffers are full with money from the American taxpayer that gets turned against the brave patriots in this country. What about the January 16th? Kevin promised he was going to release those. I’m still 

Leaving. Well, the January 6th tapes are available to anybody who wants to see them. He gave them and allowed Tucker Carlson and his team to see them. That’s not how it’s true. 

True. You walked in. No, Maria, they’re not available to anyone who wants to see them. That that is a factual misstatement. They have been curated for some people in the media and some defense attorneys. But any American cannot see any of the January 16th. That 

Is a false statement. Are you not right now indirectly working with Democrats because you are going to allow Chuck Schumer to come up with a continuing resolution next week to fund the government. That’s what your actions are doing. That’s why some people feel this is a personal vendetta you have against the speaker. 

No, my vendetta is against a Washington system that allows corruption to put the interests of lobbyists and PACS above the interests of the American people. Kevin McCarthy facilitates that system and I do deeply resent that. But I’m not working with Chuck Schumer any other Democrat. I am the one working with house conservatives who you’re enabling that require single subject spending bills. No, no, no. You guys criticize me for forcing single subject spending bills. Then you give Kevin McCarthy the credit for doing it. The reality is no. I actually agree. This is the only way to actually ourselves should the single bill bad system. I think the single bill sound right, hasn’t even done ’em. It’s September. We knew September 30th was coming all year and Kevin McCarthy has been dilatory. He’s been fiddling like Nero is Rob Burns as we understand it. They’re doing this this upcoming, this

A must watch for Republicans fighting this fight, masterful performance by Matt K. He absolutely smokes Kevin McCarthy. I don’t even care about his argument with Maria Barta Romo. I don’t care about that. He smokes Kevin McCarthy. The one thing I disagree with Matt Gaetz on in this video is he said, well, it wouldn’t be optimal to shut down the government. Why not? Why not the federal government shutting down if these administrative agencies shut down? Would your life change? Would you be hurt? Would the American people even know, let alone care if the federal government came to a halt? I would contend that the answer to that question is no. And it would show the American people how useless so much of the bureaucracy in the federal government is. Matt Gaetz is entirely right about committees. What is the point of these committees if they lead to nothing? 

This is my favorite quote from the entire video. Setting up a committee is an end in itself, only in Washington DC It is not enough to expose facts. You have to follow those facts to conclusion and accountability. That’s exactly correct. And the Republican Party does nothing. So the point of all of this is we as the American people have a choice. We have a series of two choices that we have to make. First we have to choose, are we going to acknowledge the reality of the political enemy that we’re facing? Are we going to acknowledge that the Democrat party has been corrupted by a Marxist ideology, an anti-American, anti-Christian ideology that wants the destruction not just of our economy, which is bad enough, not just of our government, which is also bad enough, but of the entirety of Western civilization. Are we going to acknowledge that? 

That’s the first question. If the answer to that is yes, and I pray that the answer to that is yes, then we have our second choice. Are we going to fight well against this enemy? Are we going to fight with people like Kevin McCarthy, the old Guard Republican establishment, or are we going to fight to win? Are we going to fight with the powers that we have as elected officials, as Matt Gaetz is? And as private citizens like you and I, that’s essentially the premise of my entire book. The premise of my entire book is first recognizing the reality of the political enemy that we face by exposing who they are, maybe the same as these committees except the exposure of the reality of the political enemy. And my book then leads us to the blueprint for how we can fight back and we have to make a choice. 

Are we going to fight back with squishes like McCarthy or Romney? Are we going to fight back in the way that we are enabled and empowered to by our constitutional legacy, which is using the just authority of government to order society towards its proper end, which is not just unlimited liberty, which is license, but a moral order in society?
