Bud Light and the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) are bolstering their alliance, with Bud Light making a donation of $200,000 to the NGLCC even as its business continues to decline in the face of a widespread consumer boycott. This contribution will be utilized to buttress the organization’s Communities of Color Initiative (CoCi), an effort specifically designed to bolster minority LGBTQ+ business enterprises.

CoCi aids minority LGBTQ+ businesses by offering them certification, scholarships, and business development opportunities. The overarching ambition of CoCi is to promote equality in economic advancement, leveling the playing field for underrepresented entrepreneurs. Further manifesting its support, Bud Light will back NGLCC’s inaugural CoCi Biz Pitch program. This novel initiative promises the victorious minority LGBTQ+ business owner a prize of $5,000, and an opportunity to vie in the 2023 NGLCC International Business & Leadership Conference LGBT Biz Pitch Competition for $50,000 in cash and prizes.

Anheuser-Busch’s history of community involvement is notable, with over $13 million donated to local and national non-profit organizations championing LGBTQ+ equality in the past two decades alone. This latest partnership with the NGLCC builds on this, ensuring that Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch continue to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
