In a recent undercover O’Keefe Media Group video, Luke Borwegan, a special assistant to John Fetterman, reveals information about how they select journalists to cover Fetterman and what the Senator’s stance on the Second Amendment is.
Borwegan explains that everyone desires a story about Fetterman, but the office selectively shares access with specific individuals in order to shape the image and control the narrative. He refers to the journalists that they work with as “puppets” and says they are participants in “access journalism.”
Specific individuals such as Kara Swisher—a tech reporter who has transitioned into the political sphere—and the Pod Save America podcast are named as reporters who align with the Fetterman team’s desired narratives. The conversation implies that Swisher and other journalists are carefully selected to ensure they convey that message during interviews.
Additionally, Fetterman’s stance on gun control is discussed, including his support for an assault weapons ban and a potential willingness to overturn the Second Amendment.
