The bombshell release of an FBI informant file by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) comprehensively reveals claims of bribery against President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, to the tune of $10 million.
Mykola Zlochevsky, a Ukrainian oligarch and owner of natural gas company Burisma Holdings, claims to have been “coerced” into this payoff, divulging that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden.”

Zlochevsky allegedly retained Hunter Biden on Burisma’s board to maintain a veneer of propriety, despite referring to the younger Biden as less intelligent than his own dog. The Ukrainian businessman implicated both Bidens in the bribery scheme, claiming they both insisted on Hunter’s retention. The confidential FBI source, a credible and trusted Ukrainian-American informant, recounted four separate interactions with Zlochevsky from late 2015 through 2019, providing detailed insight into the alleged transactions.
Significantly, Zlochevsky reportedly possesses 17 recordings of conversations with the Bidens, alongside text messages and two documents outlining the illicit financial transactions. These materials, according to Zlochevsky, reveal how he was forced into bribing the Bidens to secure the dismissal of Ukraine Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
Further, the FBI informant file includes key excerpts of conversations between the informant and officials from Burisma, shedding light on Hunter Biden’s role in the company and the extent of the Biden family’s influence. The file reveals that Zlochevsky viewed Hunter Biden as a shield against legal complications due to his father’s political standing.

However, despite the serious allegations and weighty evidence, White House spokesman Ian Sams counters the allegations as unfounded claims debunked years ago. He calls for media outlets to hold the Republicans accountable for their repeated attempts to discredit President Biden.
Yet, congressional Republicans have been unrelenting in their pursuit of justice, investigating potential illicit activity relating to Burisma and a Maltese bank account opened in 2016. Despite the alleged bribe amount’s relevance to their investigation, federal tax agents reportedly did not have access to this information during their five-year investigation of Hunter for tax fraud.
These allegations against the Bidens come amidst a complicated backdrop of questionable political and business ties. As vice president, Joe Biden is known to have met with Burisma employees and advocated for U.S. support for Ukraine’s natural gas industry. Furthermore, Hunter Biden’s appointment to the Burisma board coincided with Joe Biden assuming control of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy, adding to the controversy.
The FBI’s decision to refer the bribery tip to the office of Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss for further investigation has raised additional questions. The opacity around subsequent actions taken to ascertain the claim’s validity fuels suspicion, with Grassley querying why the information has remained “concealed” from the public.
The outcome of this situation could have profound implications for the Bidens, as members of Congress consider impeachment proceedings if supporting evidence is found.
