Tax records investigated by Fox News Digital indicate that Brinton served as the principal officer of the D.C. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from 2016 to 2018. This group is part of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a drag queen troupe based in San Francisco known for mocking the Catholic Church. The organization initially faced controversy surrounding their participation in the upcoming Dodgers Pride Night.
According to the D.C. Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence’s website, they identify themselves as nuns who engage in activities traditionally associated with nuns, dedicated to the “promulgation of universal joy and the expiation of stigmatic guilt.”
Operating under the pseudonym Sister Ray Dee O’Active, Brinton led the D.C. chapter of the organization, organizing various events such as “bar ministry” gatherings, drag brunches, protests near the White House, and even a “high heel race.” Brinton attended a national group Easter event in San Francisco in 2019 using this alias.
During the celebration, as Sister Ray Dee O’Active, Brinton mentioned the organization’s 40-year history, describing it as a family reunion with an abundance of sisters gathered together.
Following criticism from the Catholic community for initially excluding the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their Pride Night on June 16, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced that they would indeed be hosting the group. In their statement, the Dodgers expressed regret for their earlier decision and extended apologies to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, the LGBTQ+ community, as well as their friends and families.

Brinton, who gained attention as a non-binary gender-fluid individual overseeing nuclear waste policy at the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy, has recently faced legal troubles related to alleged baggage thefts at different airports across the country. These incidents include stealing luggage from the carousel at Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport, grand larceny at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, and being detained as a “fugitive from justice” in Maryland in connection with a 2018 theft at Ronald Reagan Washington Airport.
