According to recent reports from Fox News Digital, Target Corporation has formed a collaboration with a K-12 education organization that advocates for school districts to adopt policies that would keep parents unaware of their child’s gender transition at school. Additionally, the organization provides schools with sexually explicit books from their “Rainbow Library” free of charge and encourages the incorporation of gender ideology throughout the curriculum.
Target expressed its support for the organization, stating, “GLSEN leads the movement in creating affirming… and anti-racist spaces for LGBTQIA+ students. We are proud of 10+ years of collaboration with GLSEN and continue to support their mission,” Target has been donating funds to GLSEN annually.
GLSEN’s agenda includes the demand for gender ideology to be taught in every subject, including math. The organization provides guidelines to teachers on how to make math problems more inclusive by incorporating “they/them” pronouns. They also advise teachers to ensure that graphs on sex and gender include a wide range of options such as agender, genderfluid, and nonbinary, among others.
The organization’s influence extends to science classes, where GLSEN encourages teachers to incorporate gender ideology. One teacher describes his experience sharing personal experiences to demonstrate how scientific language can overlook or erase the existence of transgender individuals.
To date, Target has donated at least $2.1 million to GLSEN, which provides guidance to schools on how to keep gender transitions confidential from parents. The guidelines state that a student’s gender identity cannot be revealed to anyone, including parents or guardians, without prior discussion with the student.
