Tucker Carlson released a video on Wednesday night, following an announcement from Fox News Media on Monday stating that the network and Carlson had mutually agreed to part ways.
In the video, Carlson discussed how most TV arguments are “unbelievably stupid,” while also noting that “undeniably big topics” get little to no discussion. He emphasized that when honest people speak the truth, they become powerful, while those who try to silence them become weaker.
Carlson expressed hope that true things will prevail, stating that Americans speaking the truth is rare but does happen occasionally. He did not directly address the breakup with Fox in the video.
According to an earlier report from The Wall Street Journal, Carlson received word of his termination only shortly before Fox’s announcement of the split. Fox News Media released a statement thanking Carlson for his contribution to the network and announced that his final program was on Friday, April 21st. Starting that evening, “Fox News Tonight” aired as a stand-in show hosted by various FOX News personalities until a new host is appointed.
