Hunter Biden, the beleaguered son of President Joe Biden, is once again in the limelight following transcripts released by Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents-turned-whistleblowers, suggesting potential manipulation of the 2020 presidential election and cover-ups to protect the Bidens.
The infamous “Hunter Biden laptop” saga had already sparked controversy during the election. This issue escalated with allegations that the Department of Justice, along with media outlets and Big Tech, suppressed the story. The recent IRS whistleblower testimonies add to these claims, suggesting federal agencies delayed investigations into Hunter Biden’s affairs, thereby influencing the election outcome.
The whistleblower detailed the unusual treatment of the Biden case, contrasting standard IRS procedures. “In criminal tax investigations, IRS policy dictates the ‘need to interview the subject within 30 days of elevating the investigation'”, but this was not followed with Hunter Biden. Furthermore, a supposed plea deal with reduced charges led to further questions about the fairness of the proceedings.
The whistleblower also disclosed repeated efforts to move forward with the investigation, only to be shut down with the looming election as an excuse. Actions such as verifying Hunter Biden’s address were stalled until post-election.
These revelations confirm the concerns of many that the 2020 election was influenced by internal players. The alleged actions of these ‘deep-state’ actors demonstrate an interference that not only undermined the electoral process, but also lent substantial support to President Biden’s campaign, with effects that continue to reverberate through American politics.
