The poll, which surveyed 2,500 registered voters across the U.S., found that 58 percent of respondents were against these interventions. Only 10 percent believed children should be able to undergo these procedures if they choose, while 21 percent felt it should be allowed but only with parental permission.
The study revealed a gender divide, with 62 percent of men and 54 percent of women opposing these treatments for underage individuals. Mike Noble, founder and CEO of Noble Predictive Insights, noted the lack of public support for transgender interventions in minors, despite the widespread media coverage of the topic.

The poll found considerable support for gender-changing surgery or puberty blockers among self-identified “strong Democrats.” Of this group, 22 percent said children should have the ability to undergo these procedures, and an additional 40 percent believed it should be allowed but only with parental consent. Only 23 percent of “strong Democrats” were against the interventions.
The survey also highlighted that 64 percent of voters with children under the age of 18 opposed these medical interventions. Conversely, those most supportive were voters without children.

These findings come at a time when state legislatures across the U.S. are debating laws either banning such procedures for minors or preventing such bans. States like Texas, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, and Georgia have enacted restrictions, many of which are facing legal challenges. On the other hand, California is leading a coalition of 20 mostly blue states, including Illinois, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Washington, in opposing such restrictions.
The Center Square Voters’ Voice Poll was conducted from July 31 to Aug. 3, surveying a total of 2,500 registered voters, including 1,000 registered Republicans, 1,000 registered Democrats, and 500 independents.
