During a press conference on Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee confirmed that President Joe Biden and his family are at the center of an influence-peddling scheme. Thanks to leaks and congressional subpoenas, Republicans claim that the Bidens received at least $10 million in diluted payments from foreign firms. Bank records show that at least nine Biden family members benefited from funds, including Hunter Biden, James Biden, James’ wife, Hunter’s ex-girlfriend and brother Beau Biden’s widow, Hunter’s ex-wife, Hunter’s current wife, at least one grandchild, and a few nieces and/or nephews. The most recent wave of data that the Oversight Committee was able to collect from four of the 12 banks of the Bidens disclosed yet another round of payments, this time coming from China and Romania.

According to the committee, the Romanian contributions are additional evidence that the Bidens’ influence-peddling business was in full gear when Biden facilitated foreign policy discussions during the Obama administration, particularly in Eastern Europe. The most recent Romanian payment dilution is eerily similar to how the Bidens allegedly used their more than a dozen firms to cooperate with Chinese persons thought to have close ties to the Chinese Communist Party and “engage in financial deception.”

Republican Rep. Byron Donalds claimed that “The purpose of all these companies being created is to conceal money that the Biden family has been gaining because Joe Biden has been sitting at the upper echelon of our politics for almost five decades.” The Oversight Committee has consistently shown that bank records show that the president’s family received millions of dollars from overseas shell firms, which contradicts Biden’s denials that no one in his family or he had benefited from international business agreements with organizations linked to communist China.

White House spokesman Ian Sams attacked the committee’s most recent memo as an “absurd innuendo” and said that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer was “loudly and proudly broadcasting a press conference today to continue his long pattern of making absurd claims that President Biden has made governing decisions not in the interest of America, but of the Chinese Communist Party.” On Wednesday, the Oversight Committee rejected these allegations once more and refuted them with concrete evidence that various Biden family members, including Hunter, James, Hallie, and an unnamed “Biden,” and companies connected to the family “collectively received $1.3 million in payments” from Walker, whose company received millions from Chinese firm State Energy HK Limited, implicating the family in selling political favors to China.
