Disney actor Josh Gad expressed a strong and explicit reaction to the GOP debate on Wednesday, specifically concerning the candidates’ responses to the topic of climate change.
After Fox News hosts prompted candidates to indicate if they believed climate change was anthropogenic, none raised their hands, prompting Gad to tweet, “not a single one of them raises their hands. Fuck every single one of these cowards.”
Gad went further, remarking, “It would be so shocking, if it wasn’t so damned predictable. The youth of this country are not morons. They see that their entire freaking world is on fire. They are asking you as young Conservatives the most basic softball question: do you believe in decades of science. Silence.”
Gad, known for roles in films such as Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” live-action remake and “Frozen,” has historically been one of Hollywood’s most vocal anti-GOP stars. Earlier this year, he blamed the Republican Party for the tragic shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, perpetrated by a transgender individual. Gad stated, “The GOP have decided that guns are more important than kids… they have decided it is okay to let kids die.”
In 2022, Gad criticized Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for relocating approximately 50 undocumented immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, denouncing the move as an act of “cruelty.”
