Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) has officially introduced two articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
The first article accuses Biden of weaponizing the executive branch to “shield the business and influence peddling schemes of his family from congressional oversight and public accountability.” The second article declares that, contrary to [Biden’s] oath, he has failed to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed, directly facilitated the ongoing southern border crisis and endangered the people of the United States.”
Further, the impeachment articles allege Biden administration officials, such as FBI Director Christopher Wray and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, denied Congress access to documents relating to questionable financial activities by the Biden family. Ogles also cites an alleged $5 million bribery from Burisma to Biden and his son Hunter. The articles link Biden to the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma corruption.
Ogles criticizes Biden for the surge in illegal border crossings, with a record of over 1.4 million illegal migrants apprehended this fiscal year as of April. He claims this failure to enforce border laws has contributed to a significant rise in fentanyl overdoses, attributing these to drug trafficking across the border.
Vice President Harris, appointed as “border czar”, also faces impeachment articles from Ogles. He criticizes her handling of the border crisis, asserting she has demonstrated “extraordinary incompetence” and “indifference” to American suffering.
Ogles points to Harris’s lack of visits to the southern border as evidence of her negligence. He echoes the statistics raised concerning Biden to argue that Harris has failed in her duties to secure the border. He concludes that her ineffective management has contributed to a humanitarian crisis at the border, resulting from open border policy.
