Target recently unveiled its “LGBT Pride” collection, including items like “tuck-friendly” clothing and rainbow-colored onesies designed for babies and kid.

Target’s transgender line, marketed on their website in anticipation of Pride Month, has been met with significant backlash due to its inclusion of products such as bathing suits with “tuck-friendly construction” and “extra crotch coverage.”

In a recent viral Twitter video, it’s reveled that the stores “tuck-friendly” bathing suits were inspired by an employee who is a drag queen.

Kirby, a member of the Target executive team states that he uses  the pronouns he/him, but goes by Shelby Lynne as a drag queen.

In the video, Kirby shares his experience working for a company that “prides itself in honoring who you are as a human being, and not just for a label that you carry around.”

He states that “our purpose is to help our families discover the joy of everyday life.”
